General Information
In general, the Chair of Entrepreneurial Finance permits the transfer of courses successfully completed at other universities. The recognition of such courses is, however, subject to specific regulations that must be observed to ensure acceptance. As the options for recognition vary between study programs, students are required to consult the respective program-specific document available under “Credit Transfer” in the download section. Furthermore, it is essential to verify whether the course intended at a partner institution is listed in the official database for transfer of credits.
Procedure
In cases where the Chair must evaluate whether a new course is eligible for recognition, students are required to complete the form Confirmation of Course Equivalence of an International Module before contacting the responsible person. The completed form, together with the supporting documentation, should be sent to Karin Papavlassopoulos (karin.papavlassopoulos(at)tum.de) for review. The following information must be provided:
- Course content, learning objectives, and course materials (e.g., textbooks)
- Course workload/credits (contact hours per week and total duration in weeks)
- Information on the course structure
Please note: The attended course must
- be largely equivalent in content and learning objectives, and
- comprise at least the same workload (credits, contact hours)
as the course for which recognition is sought.
