Thesis Supervision
It is possible to write a Bachelor's or Master's thesis under our supervision. Please keep in mind that we are lawyers, so it should not be surprising that all theses need to focus on legal issues, or at least build upon a legal topic.
We strongly suggest that you have already demonstrated your interest in legal issues, for example by taking elective courses such as "Banking and Financial Markets Law" (Bank- und Kapitalmarktrecht) or, in particular, "EU Fintech Law". We also expect marks above average in the mandatory law courses "Business Law" (Bachelor) or "Introduction to Business Law (MiM)" (Master), or equivalent courses.
We understand that it might be challenging to find a thesis topic that suits you. In case you have been denied twice (either with your own proposal or with your application for a Master thesis) at other professorships/chairs, please contact the Department Head Accounting & Finance (Prof. Dr. Reiner Braun, reiner.braun@tum.de). In cooperation with the involved units, he will assist you in finding an adequate master thesis topic for you. However, we are unable to guarantee that you will be able to work on your own proposal.
Please note that all theses will be scrutinised for plagiarism.
