Launch of the edX Course Program: 'Realizing Biotech Innovation', sponsored by the BMBF

As part of the BMBF sponsored research project 'Biotech Ecosystem Germany' led by Dr. Svenja Jarchow, our full course program 'Realizing Biotech Innovation – A Business Guide for Scientists' has been launched. The program consists of three stand-alone courses that complement each other. It is available on the EdX platform and can be pursued in everyone's own pace.

Biotech companies are revolutionizing the world we live in. However, when starting a biotech venture, innovators face business challenges that go beyond regular business formation. The three courses are designed to address the challenges of soon to be and early-stage biotech entrepreneurs – from evaluating the business potential of a biotech venture (Course 1: 'Biotech – From Science to Business'), getting started attracting key employees and protecting the intellectual property (Course 2: 'How to Start a Biotech Venture'), to securing financial resources (Course 3: 'Financing Biotech Innovations'). The courses are designed to help getting biotech innovations off the ground and to broaden the perspective of biotech entrepreneurs in terms of what are key business aspects to be mindful of.
