We are happy to share that Steffen Grebe will present findings from the research project “Biotech Ecosystem Germany” funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The paper, co-authored by Dr. Svenja Jarchow, examines IP contracts that formalize the technology transfer from public German research institutions to biotechnology spin-offs. We collected quantitative and qualitative data on IP contract patterns in the German biotechnology industry and further explored the influence of the research institutions’ risk and reward assessment on contract design.
