acatech – The NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING – is an independent German organization that represents the interests of the German scientific and technological communities. They provide recommendations for policy makers as well as society and support knowledge transfer between science and industry. As a highly reputable organization they are heard by the German government on ongoing topics and develop frameworks for future directions. Prof. Achleitner is currently involved in the project “Enhancing Germany's innovative capacity”.
