A brand-new working paper by Reiner Braun, in collaboration with our alumnus Stefan Weik (now HSG) and Tim Jenkinson (Oxford), will be presented in November 2025 at the annual conference of the Private Equity Research Consortium (PERC) in Chapel Hill (USA). The paper examines whether Michael Jensen (one of the inventors of agency theory) was right when he predicted in 1989 that LBOs would eclipse public corporations in certain situations.
