Following the newly published rankings, the TUM School of Management takes second place after the School of Management in St. Gallen.
TUM School of Management withholds the Triple-Crown Accreditation and is therefore the largest competitor to the School of Management in St. Gallen.
“Both universities have in common that their cooperation with the private sector is very strong. TUM School of Management is intertwining with engineering and natural science. It is covering the whole supply chain and it is therefore not a typical School of Management”, says Prof. Gunther Friedl. He continues: “Furthermore, the junior professors underlie a strict performance principle. Within six years, junior professors are tested and external evaluators are evaluating their research. It is important that the professors of TUM School of Management are perceived as a peak power national and international. Nevertheless, for scientists in the economics field, it is important to include technology in their research. Change is ongoing and scientists need to shift their point of view if they still want to be a part of political and social discussions.”
