Research Projects
Jakob Maxl’s research examines how cognitive biases shape innovation decisions in organizations, with a particular focus on family firms. Using controlled laboratory experiments, he investigates how factors such as emotional attachment, time pressure, and selective information processing influence managerial decision-making. His work aims to identify conditions under which biases distort strategic choices and to develop and experimentally test interventions that reduce biased decision-making.
