    Topics

Students are given the choice to either work on a topic proposed by the chair or to submit their own suggestion (in cooperation with a company). The chair decides whether the topic can be accepted or not.

    Currently offered project studies:

Some topic proposals require the applicants to prepare and submit a portfolio before the project begins. This comprises of 1-2 pages (bullet points are also possible) which give the topic, goals and proposed way of approaching the project study. It is especially important to make sure that the character of the project is made clear.

The goals of the project need to be clarified, the team's contribution and the extent of the project need to be defined as well as the explicit area of the applicant. This portfolio is the foundation for finding further topics and coordinating between applicants, the chair and corporate partners.

Carrying out of the project study

The project is carried out in cooperation with the partner company. Supervision is shared between both the company and the chair.

As soon as a project study is agreed on, it should be registered at the Grade Management TUM-School of Management (Noten- und Prüfungsverwaltung der Fakultät für Wirtschaftswissenschaften). Registration is taking place digitally. You will be informed as soon as the registration is completed.

    Assessment

    • A jointly elaborated project report needs to be handed in at the Chair. This report is evaluated as a common deliverable. Report formats are adapted to the project type.
    • Project results have to be presented infront of representatives of the company. The presentation is evaluated individually.
    • The company's assessment of the student performance is considered for the final evaluation.
